  27. TO RUN THE PROGRAM
  28. To install and run the program:
  29.  
  30. 1. from Windows
  31. o unzip the file ccshare.zip
  32. o doubleclick on install.bat
  33. o change directory to c:\ccshare
  34. o doubleclick on c:\ccshare\ccshare.exe
  35.  
  36. or,
  37.  
  38. 2 a) from the DOS command line
  39. o exit from Windows session completely
  40. o unzip the file ccshare.zip
  41. o type install.bat and press -enter-
  42.  
  43. or
  44.  
  45. 2 b) from the DOS command line
  46. o exit from Windows session completely
  47. o from a DOS session make a directory called ccshare
  48. o move ccshare.zip to \ccshare
  49. o unzip the file ccshare.zip
  50. o type ccshare.exe and press -enter-

  54. TO REMOVE THE PROGRAM
  55. To remove the program from your hard drive:
  56. -from DOS command line type "deltree c:\ccshare" and press enter, then press 
  57.   "Y" when prompted.
  58. -from Windows 3.1 launch the file manager, position the mouse pointer over 
  59.   the ccshare directory and press "Delete".  Confirm if prompted.
  60. -install.bat should be removed from the directory it was originally placed in.
  61. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
  62. Operating System:    MS-DOS 6.2 or Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher
  63. Hard Drive Space:    requires about 4.2 Megabytes, without the .zip file
  64. Minimum RAM:         640K conventional memory
  65. Video Adapter Type:  VGA or better.  EGA, HGA and MCGA drivers are provided
  66.               but no testing has been done on these and they are not supported. 
  67.                             
  68. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT
  69. This program is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  70. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  71. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  72. another system.  The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  73. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  74. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  75. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program
  76. useful and find that you are using this program and continue to use
  77. this program after a reasonable trial period, you must make a reg-
  78. istration payment of $ 20.00 to ABC Software.  The $ 20.00
  79. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
  80. computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just like
  81. a book.  An example is that this software may be used by any
  82. number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  83. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it
  84. being used at one location while it's being used at another.
  85. Similarly a book cannot be read by two different persons at the
  86. same time.

  90. is withdrawn.  Site-License arrangements especially favorable to educational

  220. SOFTWARE SUPPORT FOR REGISTERED USERS
  221. As a member of ASP our shareware products must include reasonable technical 
  222. support, as part of the purchase price, for a minimum of three months 
  223. from the date of registration. 
  224.  
  225. Support during the initial period is offered through several methods.  This
  226. includes post/snail mail, fax and email.

  229. As a member of ASP the author must answer questions and fix serious bugs 
  230. during the minimum three month period. For problems involving a specific 
  231. hardware or software environment or feature, the author may choose not to 
  232. modify the program. In that case, if a problem is reported within three months 
  233. after purchase, then the author shall offer to refund the user's purchase 
  234. price.

  236. Any money sent to an author to register an unsupported product shall be 
  237. promptly returned with an explanation that the product in question is no 
  238. longer supported.

  240. Known incompatibility with other software or hardware, and major or 
  241. unusual program limitations has been found to be absent from this product,
  242. as far as testing to date can determine.

  244. TECHNICAL SUPPORT
  245. Registered users are entitled to three months of technical support for this 
  246. product, commencing from the date of receipt of registration and full payment

  250. OMBUDSMAN STATEMENT
  251. The ASP Board has set up an office of Ombudsman and appointed an ASP 
  252. member as Ombudsman. The Ombudsman's sole role is to mediate disputes 
  253. between ASP members and their customers. The Ombudsman reports to the 
  254. Board situations where s/he feels Board action or knowledge is 
  255. appropriate.

  257. All ASP Members and Associate Members are required to cooperate with the 
  258. Ombudsman when so requested.

  273. This program is a shareware release.  It is designed and marketed as a DOS 
  274. standalone program but appears to run fine when launched from Windows 3.1.
